Looking back to that beautiful sunny day on August 10th brings nothing but a smile to our faces. Even though it’s a little over two months ago and the day itself went by in the blink of an eye, we can still remember the gasps from the guests as our stunning bride made her entrance and walked up the aisle.
Dressed in Sincerity, by Justin Alexander, Lauren oozed elegance and charm…
Our groom, who was clearly speechless, led the guests in a round of applause as the bride was given away by her father.
With the crisp red carpet leading the way to the whiter than white and beautifully decorated wedding gazebo, set on a backdrop of Edwardian elegance and stunning stained glass windows, it was so easy to see why Lauren and Andy chose Langtry Manor, the home of Lillie Langtry, as their venue.
On the day they wed, Lauren and Andy had been together nearly 5 years to the day and their friends, making up the bridesmaids and best men, had evidently been with them all the way. Even a couple of the bridesmaids and best men were shortly to be united in marriage. Everywhere you looked, love was clearly in the air… the laughter was too… especially when we were informed of their joint stag and hen do, so aptly named, ‘The Sten’ in Woolacombe…
The rest of the day flowed with joy and laughter, many a good speech from the usual suspects but also from the bride, which we thought added a lovely element to the day. The tables were dressed in a divine purple shade and decorated with simplistic candles, but the most touching gesture saw every guest gifted with an Alzheimer’s badge from the Alzheimer’s society, a charity so close to the bride and grooms heart.
After a whistle stop visit to the beach and some one on one time with Lauren and Andy for pictures, we pitched back up at the venue ready for the evening fun. This included a jive lesson, organised by the bride and groom, and a surprise song from the bride’s mother. Before the guests partied away to the usual wedding favourites, they feasted on a summer bbq whilst the sun slowly set.
All in all the day was fantastic… Lauren and Andy are truly loved and respected as a couple and love really was all around that day. Looking back at our photo’s reminds us of how love really should be…
Lauren and Andy, many many congratulations and may you have a very long and happy life together.
